Saul Martínez (born 29 January 1976 in Colón, Honduras) is a football forward who currently plays in for Victoria. Saul is married and he and his wife, Roxana, have a baby boy, Joshua, born in September 2005 in Miami, Florida and two girls (twins), Kiara and Natalie, born in June 2009. He first attracted the attentions of Shanghai Shenhua when he scored a hat trick against Slovenia during the Lunar New Year Cup in Hong Kong in early 2002. Shenhua quickly signed him and afterwards, Martinez became one of the most important players in the Shenhua team. In 2003, he scored against Argentina during a friendly 3-1 loss. His first game in Liga Nacional was on 10 December 2000 with Olimpia against Broncos. Saul Martinez played for C.D Idependiente in Freeport, Long Island while playing for Long Island Rough Riders.
